Glodon Indonesia Strengthens Digital Construction Transformation Momentum through AEC Connect Day 2026

May 20.2026

Jakarta, Indonesia, May 2026 – Glodon Indonesia, part of a global digital construction platform service provider, successfully held AEC Connect Day 2026: Double Intelligence with AI 5D BIM on 12 May 2026 at Samisara Grand Ballroom, Sopo Del Tower, Jakarta.

Attended by 554 participants from 302 companies, the event brought together government representatives, industry leaders, academics, construction professionals, and stakeholders from the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector to discuss the future of construction, which is increasingly shaped by data, collaboration, and digital technology.

More than an industry event, AEC Connect Day 2026 served as a strategic dialogue platform to address modern construction challenges, ranging from efficiency, cost accuracy, project data integration, and workforce readiness to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and 5D BIM.

Komang Highlights Infrastructure Digitalization as a Construction Imperative

In her special remarks, Komang Sri Hartini, S.T., M.Sc., Head of the Center for Data and Information Technology at Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works, emphasized that infrastructure digitalization has become essential in building more transparent and accountable construction governance.

“Infrastructure digitalization is not an option. It is a necessity,” said Komang Sri Hartini.

This message became one of the key themes of the event. Komang also highlighted the importance of integrating BIM, Common Data Environment (CDE), and AI to connect project data across the entire construction lifecycle, from planning, design, and construction to operation and maintenance. Through this integration, coordination, monitoring, risk analysis, and decision-making can be carried out faster and more accurately.

Ministry of Public Works Supports Digital Competency Development in Construction

In line with the need to strengthen industry competency, Glodon Indonesia also officially opened the AI x 5D BIM Master Challenge 2026: Indonesia National Competition. The competition is part of Glodon Indonesia’s effort to support the development of digital construction talent, particularly in the application of 5D BIM, AI, quantity surveying, cost management, and project control.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ir. Kimron Manik, M.Sc., Director of Construction Workforce Competency and Productivity at Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works. His presence reinforced the importance of collaboration between government, industry, and technology providers in preparing Indonesia’s construction workforce to become more adaptive to technological advancement.

Panel Discussion Explores the Next Direction of Digital Construction

From the industry dialogue perspective, AEC Connect Day 2026 featured an Executive Panel Discussion under the theme “The Next Era of Construction: AI, Digitalization, and Industry Collaboration.” Moderated by Dr. Adrianto Oktavianus, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. from Institut Teknologi Bandung, the session brought together perspectives from government, academia, industry, and technology providers.

The panel featured Komang Sri Hartini, S.T., M.Sc. from the Ministry of Public Works; Arief Rahman, S.T., M.M. from PT PP (Persero) Tbk.; Prof. Ir. Biemo Woerjanto Soemardi, M.S.E., Ph.D. from Institut Teknologi Bandung; Dr. Olina Yang Ping from Glodon; and Ni Isaac from Sinarmas APP.

The discussion highlighted that digital construction transformation cannot move forward in isolation. It requires synergy between regulation, talent readiness, technology implementation, and industry commitment to build a more efficient, adaptive, and integrated construction ecosystem.

Glodon Officially Launches QuantifAI in Indonesia

Following the discussion on the future direction of the industry, the event continued with one of its main highlights: the official launch of Glodon QuantifAI. This AI-powered 5D BIM Quantity Takeoff solution is designed to help Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, BIM Engineers, and construction teams work faster, more accurately, and in a more structured way.

Carrying the message “Quantify with Precision. Lead with AI,” QuantifAI supports quantity takeoff needs from tender and construction stages to final account.

In the product roadmap and demonstration sessions, Li Ang, Head of Glodon QTO Product Department, and Alfred, Glodon QuantifAI Product Manager, explained that QuantifAI was developed through a co-creation process with Indonesian customers. This process included needs research, validation with benchmark users, and pilot projects based on real project scenarios.

Built on three main pillars, Simpler, Speedier, and Sharper, QuantifAI is introduced as a 2-in-1 platform that combines structural and architectural calculations within one AI-powered ecosystem. The solution is designed to simplify quantity takeoff workflows, improve data consistency, reduce repetitive manual work, and support more efficient project cost control.

To further strengthen the practical value of the launch, AEC Connect Day 2026 also featured a Benchmark Case Sharing session, showcasing user experiences in applying QuantifAI within project workflows. Through this session, practitioners shared how technology can help make calculation processes more structured, consistent, and relevant to real project needs.

Through these agenda highlights, AEC Connect Day 2026 reaffirmed Glodon Indonesia’s role as a digital transformation partner for the construction industry. This commitment is reflected not only through technological innovation, but also through talent development, cross-sector collaboration, and support for the adoption of data-driven solutions.

By bringing together government, industry, academia, and construction professionals in one platform, Glodon Indonesia continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting a more efficient, transparent, collaborative, and data-driven construction ecosystem in Indonesia.
