October 22.2025

From September 30 to October 1, the 6th JKR BIM Day 2025 was successfully held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). As a leading enterprise in the field of digital construction, Glodon Malaysia was honored to take part in the event through exhibition showcases, keynote speeches, breakout session sharing, and the BIM Contest, actively promoting industry exchange and digital transformation.

The event was hosted by the Public Works Department of Malaysia (JKR) and co-organized by Pertubuhan BIM Malaysia (PBM), attracting a total of 975 participants. It brought together government officials, industry leaders, and academia to explore the future trajectory of BIM in Malaysia’s construction sector.

During the keynote session, Kevin Li, Product Director of Glodon Gsite, delivered a speech titled Next-Generation Construction Management Powered by Digital Innovation.” He highlighted that the construction industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the convergence of artificial intelligence and digital ecosystems. Leveraging advanced AI models, next-generation digital solutions now cover the entire project lifecycle—from planning and design to cost management, execution, and operations—achieving a higher degree of integration and intelligence. This transformation not only empowers government bodies, developers, design institutes, and consultants, but also ensures sustainable value creation across the industry.

At the core of this transformation, the Glodon Gsite provides a centralized data hub, visualized site management, and efficient collaboration mechanisms—effectively breaking down communication barriers and data silos and enabling project success with greater efficiency.

In the Technology Update breakout session, Junaida Fatina, Customer Success Director of Glodon Malaysia, presented on the topic “Beyond BIM: Costing That Transforms.” She provided insights into the latest advancements in 5D BIM and intelligent cost management, showcasing how Glodon’s digital tools support enterprises in optimizing cost control, enhancing efficiency, and unlocking higher value creation beyond traditional BIM modelling.

At the gala dinner, Dato' Ir. Elias Bin Ismail, Chairman of PBM’s Board of Advisory, presented awards for the BIM Contest organized by Glodon, with YBhg. Dato’ Mohd Sakeri Bin Abdul Kadir, Chief Secretary of Policy & Development at the Ministry of Works (KKR), witnessing the ceremony.

Champion titles were awarded to MKS CQS SD BHD (industry category) and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) (academic category). The contest not only highlighted innovative applications of BIM technology but also underscored Glodon’s long-term commitment to talent development and ecosystem building. Glodon is not only a solution provider but also a catalyst for nurturing digital construction talent and advancing industry transformation.

Looking ahead, Glodon Malaysia will continue to work hand in hand with local partners and industry stakeholders to accelerate Malaysia’s digital construction transformation and drive sustainable development in the sector.
