MagiCAD’s tool for automatic cable packet routing helps avoid overlapping work and frees up time from a repetitive part of the design process. Simply define a start and end point and the tool draws the cable packet route following existing cable tray systems.

 

When multiple routing alternatives are available, you can select additional guide points to define the desired route. The tool also includes a tolerance setting to resolve routing in situations where there is a colinear split between cable trays.

 

Additional definitions for cable packets and their routing include conduit family, system, diameter, and bend radius. You can also select an installation code and a status for the cable packet.
